What is Unopened Pack Grading? 

Grading is assessing the quality and condition of a pack using Collector's Grade unopened pack grading scale. 

The grading process can only take place after a pack has been deemed authentic. 

Not all trading cards come out of the pack. Literally. There is a growing number of collectors who choose to preserve the cards and the packaging, opting instead to leave the packs unopened and the cards undisturbed.  

To those collectors, 

Collector's Grade offers our Unopened Pack Grading service. 

Security: Collector's Grade encapsulates every unopened wax pack in a our tamper-evident, sonically sealed case. These attractive, plastic cases provide protection from pressure and most damage. Once encased, you can rest assured that your pack will remain secure from further wear. 

Collector's Grade grades:  

• Wax Packs
• Foil Packs 

We do not grade:  

• Tallboy or
• Rack Packs
• Cello Packs
• 1986 Fleer Basketball (Unauthenticated Personal Collection ONLY!)
• 1989 Bowman Baseball 

Collector's Grade Pack Wax Pack Grading Policy:

CG will grade the wrapping / wrapper and encapsulate 

CG will not authenticate as sealed or unopened... UNLESS 

the Case, or Box, has been unsealed by Collector's Grade... and/or

authenticated by BBCE.

If CG opens the box or case the pack came from, the terms FASB or FASC will be placed on on the front of the label.

If your packs come from a BBCE authenticated box CG with verify the authenticity through BBCE and CG Must open the box 

on the back of the CG label it will read from BBCE Box /serial #

No packs with POPPED seals will be authenticated. 

even if deemed to be un tampered

if it is determined that the packs seal is tamper free 

Collectors Grade ONLY grades the wrapper for wrinkles, rips, dirt, centering ect.
