For years, the grading industry has been a rigged game run by corporate interests and forum-dwellers who think their opinion matters more than your passion. They look at your high-end Fan Art, your rare Peruvian "Flash Editions," and your custom Chinese gems, and they have the audacity to dismiss them as "unauthorized" or "imitations."
Let’s call it what it is: Fear. They are unsettled because the Fan Art community is out-innovating them. While the corporate giants slab the same mass-produced, thin-stock cardboard by the millions, the Fan Art world is pushing boundaries. You have the textures, the foil-tech, and the soul that the big corporations lost decades ago. The elitists don't dismiss your cards because they lack value—they dismiss them because they are often superior to the "official" products.
At Collector’s Grade (CG), we don’t ask permission from a boardroom in Japan or a suit in California to decide what is valuable. We don’t grade for the corporations; we grade for the Collectors.
If a card is a masterpiece to you, then it belongs in a slab. Period. We don't care about "tournament legality" for a game you might not even play. We care about the Art, the Technology, and the Collector. While the gatekeepers are busy maintaining their "exclusive" clubs, CG is here to give the Fan Art community the technical validation it has earned.
The era of begging for corporate validation is over. You don't need their permission to own a masterpiece. You need a grader who has the conviction to recognize it.
For the Community:
Perfect Execution. This isn't just a 10; it's a statement. Superior surface, lethal centering, and a holographic "Pop" that makes corporate "Gem Mints" look like gray cardboard.
Gallery-Grade. A near-flawless strike. We recognize manufacturing "DNA" as a badge of honor, not a defect to be mocked by some gatekeeper with a plastic loupe.
Superior Display. This card has more visual impact than 99% of the "official" junk sitting in high-priced slabs right now. It's sharp, it's clean.
The Collector Standard. Minimal handling. This grade proves that even a "circulated" Fan Art card carries more weight than a gatekeeper’s "official" safety-blanket.
Street Cred. Visible wear from being admired and shared. This is a card that lived in the real world, not a humidity-controlled box for snobs.
The Gritty Truth. Noticeable "character." Minor corner softening or scuffs that prove this piece of history was actually cherished by a real collector.
The Survivor. Obvious flaws. While the critics cry over a crease, we celebrate the fact that this Fan Art masterpiece is still standing.
Battle-Hardened. Major wear. This card has been through the trenches of the community. It’s a survivor of the era the gatekeepers tried to ignore.
VG 3: Heavily Loved. Significant damage. A refusal to accept the idea that a card loses its soul just because it isn't "perfect." The art remains; the critics can leave.
GD 2/PR 1: THE FINAL BLOW. Tattered, torn, or stained—it doesn't matter. We authenticate and slab it because The Creator’s Vision is Immortal.
